X-Flow’s hollow fiber UF membrane meets the highest standards
Effective effluent polishing: a common challenge
Nowadays, the polishing of effluent in waste water is a challenge to many large companies. There are a few applications in which the WWTP effluent polishing is done by sand filters, but high grade reuse applications or even potable applications are not possible due to microbiology and dissolved substances that remain in the waste water. Reverse osmosis with membranes that are not susceptible to fouling is needed.
Norit X-Flow: the solution
For effective effluent polishing, X-Flow’s hollow fiber UF membrane is needed. This membrane will screen all turbidity and microbiology. It meets the highest standards for effluent polishing, and therefore, safe waste water reuse. The membrane is an example of the world leading water purification technology Norit XFlow has to offer. There are two configurations for the X-Flow hollow fiber membrane:
- XIGA™ - Multiple membranes (up to 4) installed in horizontal membrane housings.
- Aquaflex - Single membranes installed vertically and connected directly to feed and filtrate headers.
Both effluent polishing modules are produced with ISO 9000 certification.
